About Confirmation

In the Sacrament of Confirmation, the baptized person is "sealed with the gift of the Holy Spirit" and is strengthened for service to the Body of Christ.

Confirmation is a sacrament of initiation, along with baptism and Eucharist.

The effects of confirmation enable us to be more united to Jesus Christ, increase the gifts of the Holy Spirit within us, and deepen our involvement in the Catholic Church.

Normally children are confirmed in 8th Grade. Please see Children's Religious Education under Faith & Growth for more information on confirmation.
