St. Brigid & St. James Knights of Columbus Council #16179
- Serves the Catholic Community of the Saint Brigid and St. James parishes located in the Original Highlands neighborhood in Louisville, Kentucky.
- St. Brigid & St. James Council was chartered on April 1, 2015, through the sustained efforts of Reverend Gary Padgett and several other key members.
- Recipients of the 2021-2022 national Star Council Award and Polaris Award!
- Our council has grown to over 60 active members.
We put our Faith in action in both our Parishes and our Community
- In 2023 our council performed over 4700 hours of charitable service and donated over $1300.
- Lead the Recitation of the Rosary at St. Brigid and St. James twice a month.
- St. Brigid - 2nd Sunday of the Month at 9:45 am
- St. James - Last Sunday of the Month at 8 am
- Host St. James Fish Fry
- Volunteer at SBSJ Beer Gardens
- Host Parish Pancake Breakfast
- Volunteer at SVDP Open Hand Kitchen
- Participate in Tootsie Roll Drive for the Mentally Disabled
- Support St. James School Functions
- Support Highland Community Ministries
- and More
