St. Brigid Choir

The St. Brigid Choir is a group of volunteer singers with varying experience. Our repertoire includes unison and SATB selections of various musical genres, as well as supporting the congregation of hymns and acclamations during Mass.

The Choir sings every Sunday at the 10:15am Mass from September through June, as well as the Christmas Eve Mass with a 45-minute concert prior to the 4 pm Mass.

Dr. Thomas Parr

Dr. Parr, organist of St. Brigid Church, comes to us with a wealth of experience having been involved in church music for over 40 years as an organist, cantor, conductor, and music director.  He began his music career studying organ with Keith Langworthy at The Cathedral of Christ the King in Atlanta, Georgia and piano with Michael McDowell at St. Marks United Methodist Church in Atlanta, Georgia. While in Atlanta, he had the opportunity to sing with the Atlanta Symphony Chorus and Orchestra under the direction of Robert Shaw.  Dr. Parr then went on to receive his Liturgical Music Certification, with the Archdiocese of Louisville, in 2000 and Cantor Certification in 2005.
