Aside from joining one of our regular ministries/committees, there are lots of other ways you can help, and get involved.

OFFICE HELP: The parish offices occasionally have special projects that we may need help.  Extra hands are always a blessing.

GROUNDS CLEAN-UP:  Both St. Brigid and St. James gather crews to help beautify the church campuses. This involves picking up any trash, sticks, etc., pulling weeds, trimming hedges, raking, planting flowers and spreading new mulch.  Our major clean-up projects are in the Spring, and we have occasional spruce ups during the year.

AFTER MASS HOSPITALITY:  Both St. Brigid and St. James host coffee and donuts after their 10:15 and 11, Sunday Masses.  St. James also hosts snacks after the Sunday 7 pm Mass.  If you would like to volunteer to host, please call the office.

ANNUAL EVENTS:  Lenten Fish Fries & Summer Beer Gardens. A variety of help is always needed to make these events successful.

SUMMER BEER GARDEN:  These events are usually held on the third Friday of the summer months. Volunteers are needed to set up tents, tables, and chairs (and tear down after).

BAKE: cakes, pies, and cookies are needed for our cake wheel at our Lenten Fish Fries. Additionally, lots of homemade cookies are needed for our visitors at Bardstown Road A-Glow in December.

Volunteers who work with or around children, such as the cake wheel and any position within the school, are required to submit to a background check and attend a Safe Environment Training workshop. To run the background check we will need a completed authorization. Please fill out and submit the form below.
