What a great night for St. James at the SOLD OUT, Blue Jay Bash event, Thursday night, February 9th!!!  The event brought in a staggering $98,000!!!

Thank you to all those who attended, donated, worked, planned, sponsored, performed, spoke at the event, and supported us! We are just so amazed and so grateful!

Check out some pictures below!

Bardstown Road Aglow was live streamed from 5 to 10PM, available on the Parish website, www.sbsjlou.org, our YouTube channel and on St. James Catholic Church Louisville Facebook page.  If you couldn't make it, it's a great way to tune in, but as always, being there in person is 100 times better!  Hope to see you there but tune in for a bit if you can't visit us at the church!

Congratulations to these St. James graduates named below who have made a significant difference in the lives of their communities. We honor their commitment to the values they embraced as children in the halls of St. James. Pictured above are from left to right: Gregg Boehmer, Principal; Steve Diebold, nephew of Fr. Maloney; Dr. Kate Barrett Wilson; Tom O'Hearn accepting for Frank Burke; Dr, Hank Rothgerber; and Abigail Gardner, daughter of Dr. Beverly McAuliffe Bisig, and Fr. Gary Padgett, Pastor.

Take a look at these photos that highlight the preparation for school -- renovations, painting, shiny new classrooms, and teachers getting ready! Welcome students!

Congratulations to the fifteen members of the 116th graduating class! They are following in a great tradition.

On May 4, students prayed to Mary in a procession and decorated two altars with flowers in her honor, the Marian Altar in St. James Church and the smaller altar in the school.

The week of May 2nd is Teacher Appreciation Week!  Thank you so much to all our teachers at St. James School for their hard work, dedication, and caring nature!  We appreciate all you do!

Thank you everyone who came out and supported St. James Catholic School's production of Little Mermaid, Jr.  We hope to see everyone for next year's production!

St. James School invites you to an OPEN HOUSE on Wednesday, April 20, between the hours of 9:00 am to Noon and 3:00 - 6:00 pm. School will be in session, so the morning time gives you the opportunity to see students and teachers interacting. The late afternoon session will allow time for meeting teachers and asking questions about tuition, financial aid, curriculum, and more. Tours and printed information will be available both morning and afternoon. Spread the word!

St. James Music and Religion teacher, Mr. Patrick Ahrens, has been invited to play timpani in the orchestra for the Canonical Installation of Archbishop Shelton Fabre on March 30. The solemn event will take place at the Kentucky International Convention Center. Congratulations, Mr. Ahrens!

The Cougars 5th and 6th-grade boys' basketball team composed of St. James and St. Francis of Assisi boys, won a City Championship in a thrilling game that went into overtime.

The Cougars went down by 2 in the last minutes of the game in overtime.  Then St. James' player, Dylan Matheney, hit a three-pointer with less than a minute to play to put us up 21-20!  That last buzzer couldn't come fast enough, but it did, and we won!!!

There were so many great plays by all of the boys from both schools!  And they put their hearts and souls into the game.   We are so proud of them!!!  Congratulations!
